Dr.
Joe Fong
Dr. Joe Fong is not only Irving Pet Hospital’s Medical
Director, but an owner as well. “At Irving Pet Hospital
our team wishes to provide the most current medical
therapies to our patients and to treat every patient as
if they were one of our own.”
Dr. Fong is a San Francisco native and
a 2000 graduate of the University of California at Davis
School of Veterinary Medicine. His undergraduate degree
is from the University of California at Berkley where he
majored in integrative biology and minored in Asian
American studies.
Dr. Fong has always worked in San
Francisco and he enjoys working in the Bay Area. He is
one of the few San Francisco natives practice veterinary
medicine in the city. He joined Irving Pet Hospital as
an owner as well as the Medical Director in May 2007.
Dr. Fong and his wife enjoy sharing
their home with two dogs and two cats: Dottie, a Great
Dane; Tonka, a Shepherd mix; Jake, a Ragdoll cat; and
Bijou, a domestic long hair.

Dr. Patricia Lowe
Dr. Patricia Lowe grew up in the South Bay and graduated
from Loyola Marymount University in 1997 with a degree
in finance. She then completed a B.S. at UC Davis in
Animal Science 2001 and earned her D.V.M. from Kansas
State University. Prior to joining Irving Street,
Patricia worked in private practice near Santa Cruz and
as a Staff Veterinarian at the Peninsula Humane Society.
Patricia’s special interests include
internal medicine, dentistry and promoting the human
animal bond. She is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical
Association and American Animal Hospital Association.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr.
Lowe enjoys the beach, hiking, traveling and spending
time with family and friends. Her four legged friend is
Maddie, a Lab hound adopted from the Fairfield shelter.

Stephanie Szabo, DC
Dr. Szabo graduated with a doctorate of Chiropractic
from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose,
1992. She continued on to complete her animal
chiropractic course in June of 1993. Dr. Szabo has a
mobile practice and works in veterinary hospitals from
the Bay Area to the Central Coast. She joined IPH in
Spring of 2000.
In addition to her small animal
practice, Dr. Szabo enjoys performing chiropractic
adjustments on horses. She is also part of the clinical
and teaching faculty at Palmer College of
Chiropractic-West.
As an adjunct to her chiropractic
background, Dr. Szabo studied Cranio-Sacral therapy,
Nimmo, and other soft-tissue techniques. She is
particularly interested in peformance and motion in dogs
and horses.
Dr. Szabo is a member of the American
Veterinary and Chiropractic Association, Pro-Sport
Chiropractic organization, and the Montery Bay Gonstead
Clinical Study Society.

Dr. Naomi Nagayama
Dr. Nagayama grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She attended Colorado State University for both
undergraduate studies as well as veterinary school. She
took 2 years off before vet school to work and travel
and travelled for a few months after completing vet
school; she visited Japan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and
Cambodia. Dr. Nagayama moved to San Francisco 2 ˝ years
ago and lives with one of her best friends from college
as well as her dog Sakura “Saki” and her cat Kipper. Her
hobbies include snowboarding, hiking and going to the
beach! |
