Dr. Kelly
Jensen
Kelly Jensen graduated with a B.S.
degree in Biology from Stanford University in 1990 and
earned her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois in
1994. She has been an associate veterinarian at Irving Pet Hospital since June 1994.
During her undergraduate years, Dr.
Jensen worked as a veterinary assistant at Dundee Animal
Hospital in Dundee, Illinois and as a biological aid for
the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Sirenia Project
radio-tracking manatees in Cap Canaveral and
Jacksonville, Florida. She continued to pursue an
interest in exotic animals in veterinary school during
an externship at San Diego Sea World, where she studied
husbandry, medicine, and surgery of marine fish,
invertebrates, birds, and mammals.
Dr. Jensen also brings an interest in
pathology to Irving Street, having served as an
emergency technician at the clinical pathology
laboratory and as an assistant on the necropsy floor at
the University of Illinois Veterinary Hospital.
In addition to practicing western
medicine, Dr. Jensen has been a certified veterinary
acupuncturist since 1996. She often combines these
modalities to provide patients with several options for
the treatment of certain diseases.
Dr. Jensen is a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association, the California
Veterinary Medical Association, the House Rabbit
Society, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture,
and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

Dr. Adam
Borut
Dr. Adam Borut is a New York native who graduated with a
B.A. in Biology from Wesleyan University in 1995 and
received his D.V.M from Cornell University in 2001.
Between undergraduate and veterinary school, he
completed a Hughes Fellowship in Biology studying
phenotypic plasticity and moved to Boulder, CO , where
he worked as a veterinary technician.
To escape the cold Ithaca winters, Dr.
Borut moved to the west coast. Before joining us at
Irving Street, Adam spent time at a private practice in
the East Bay, where he followed his strong interest in
animal welfare. He has worked with the feral feline
sterilization program and several pet placement
programs. He is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association and the California Veterinary
Medical Association.
His furry companion is a long haired
tabby called Tobin Sprout who has a heart murmur, eye
problems and extra toes. During his free time he enjoys
going to concerts and rock climbing.

Dr. Stephanie
Szabo
Dr. Szabo graduated with a doctorate of Chiropractic
from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose,
1992. She continued on to complete her animal
chiropractic course in June of 1993. Dr. Szabo has a
mobile practice and works in veterinary hospitals from
the Bay Area to the Central Coast. She joined IPH in
Spring of 2000.
In addition to her small animal
practice, Dr. Szabo enjoys performing chiropractic
adjustments on horses. She is also part of the clinical
and teaching faculty at Palmer College of
Chiropractic-West.
As an adjunct to her chiropractic
background, Dr. Szabo studied Cranio-Sacral therapy,
Nimmo, and other soft-tissue techniques. She is
particularly interested in peformance and motion in dogs
and horses.
Dr. Szabo is a member of the American
Veterinary and Chiropractic Association, Pro-Sport
Chiropractic organization, and the Montery Bay Gonstead
Clinical Study Society.

Dr. Patricia Lowe
Dr. Patricia Lowe grew up in the South Bay and graduated
from Loyola Marymount University in 1997 with a degree
in finance. She then completed a B.S. at UC Davis in
Animal Science 2001 and earned her D.V.M. from Kansas
State University. Prior to joining Irving Street,
Patricia worked in private practice near Santa Cruz and
as a Staff Veterinarian at the Peninsula Humane Society.
Patricia’s special interests include
internal medicine, dentistry and promoting the human
animal bond. She is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical
Association and American Animal Hospital Association.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr.
Lowe enjoys the beach, hiking, traveling and spending
time with family and friends. Her four legged friend is
Maddie, a Lab hound adopted from the Fairfield shelter. |
